If Porsches Could Talk - The 936 at 50

Porsche Club National Historian, Jay Gillotti, will present an in-depth look at the remarkably successful Porsche 936. Although less well known than its older (917) and younger (956/962) cousins, the 936 achieved a remarkable record, winning the World Sports Car Championship and three 24 Hours of Le Mans races. The 936 is also one of the rarest of all Porsche racing cars produced.

In this session, Jay will explore the 936’s design, development, and racing achievements, along with the vibrant era of sports car and endurance racing in which it excelled. He’ll also touch on the individual histories of the five chassis built and offer a preview of his upcoming book on the 936. The presentation will be interactive, with ample time for audience questions.
