An important update regarding our austin healey sweepstakes

To Our Entrants:

We deeply regret to inform you that the Washington State Gambling Commission has ordered us to cease our Sweepstakes immediately ruling that, as a charity, we are not authorized to conduct such a contest in the state, terming it ‘gambling’.

We were surprised by this order as we have previously, successfully, operated a Sweepstakes within the State. Additionally, there have been NO complaints or charges that we have done anything wrong in the conduct of the contest.

After efforts asking the Commission to reverse its decision have been denied, we regretfully have determined to cease the sweepstakes so as not to bring permanent harm to the Trust and the Museum.

We are as disappointed as you are in this decision, and we hope that you understand the difficult position we find ourselves in.
