An important update regarding our austin healey sweepstakes

To Our Entrants:
 
We deeply regret to inform you that the Washington State Gambling Commission has requested that we cease our Sweepstakes immediately ruling that, as a charity, we are not authorized to conduct such a contest in the State.

We were surprised by this request as we have previously, successfully, operated a Sweepstakes within the State. Additionally, there have been NO complaints or charges that we have done anything wrong in the conduct of the contest.

Regretfully, we have determined we have no choice but to end the sweepstakes so as not to bring harm to the Trust and the Museum. We are as disappointed in this result as you are and hope that you will understand the difficult position we find ourselves in.

ALL ENTRIES WILL BE HONORED AND WE WILL RETURN ALL MONIES TO THOSE WHO DONATED THROUGH THE SWEEPSTAKES. REFUNDS WILL BE PROCESSED ON MARCH 7, 2025.

  • What is going to happen to the car?

    The car will remain in the Museum collection for the foreseeable future.

  • Are we considering selling the car?

    At this time we are not considering selling the car as it may raise concerns with the Gambling Commission.

  • Do entrants have the option to refuse a refund and leave their entry fee as a donation to the Museum?

    Entrants may refuse to accept return of their donation and if they do so we are very grateful to them. If you wish to refuse the refund of your monies, please reach out to us at membership@aat.org.

  • Do entrants have the option to refuse the free Museum admission passes?

    Entrants have the option of opting out of using the free entries to the museum - however entries to the Museum are not linked to donations of any kind and would not be applied as part of the "tax deductibility" of the donation; they are simply recognition for folks who attempted to participate in the sweepstakes.  If you do not wish to accept the free admission passes, please reach out to us at membership@aat.org.
