Cult of GT-R: Book Signing & Talk

Join us after hours in the Shinka exhibit to hear from author Ryan ZumMallen about his new book, Cult of GT-R: A True Story of Crime, Obsession and the World’s Most Coveted Car.

This exciting book covers the hurdles of importing JDM cars, particularly the Nissan  GT-R, providing little known details about their journey from Japan to the United States. Ryan will be giving a presentation on the book, followed by a Q&A and a book signing.

Refreshments and light appetizers will be provided. A cash bar will be available for guests 21+. Please check in at the front dest upon arrival.

Ryan ZumMallen is a publisher and journalist with more than a decade of experience in the automotive industry. His writing has appeared in Edmunds, Road & Track, The Verge and elsewhere. The 2023 release ‘Cult of GT-R’ is his second book, following his debut ‘Slow Car Fast’ on the rise of Millennial car culture in 2019.  He is the founder of Carrara Media which specializes in publishing automotive books for a modern audience. ZumMallen earned his B.A. in Print Journalism from California State University at Long Beach.
