If Cars Could Talk: Route 66 Journey in a 1956 Ford Ranch Wagon

August 4, 2015 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

ICCT_August

There are many chapters to the story of the automobile. If cars could talk, they might just share stories we never imagined.

Each month, our speaker will pick a car and offer a fascinating peek into its history. Join us the first Tuesday of each month, and explore the story of cars with Museum curators, staff or local personalities over lunch.

Join Dave Robertson as he shares the unique story of his 1956 Ford Ranch Wagon.  Dave restored his wagon and in 2014, drove it from Gig Harbor to Chicago where he then followed Route 66 all the way to Albuquerque; a 6,400 mile trip!  His wagon, complete with it’s bug-caked license plate, is on display at ACM as part of the Vintage Station Wagon exhibit in the Route 66 gallery. Stop by the Museum to check it out and don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired to make your own Route 66 journey or reminisce on past travels.
